Most migrants that were registered last year came from Syria, 38.19%, Afghanistan, 19.93%, Turkey, 11.95%, Morocco, 6.55%, and Iraq 3.44%.
Serbia stands out as an example of a humane approach to migrations and migrants. At present, 416 persons are accommodated at seven reception and asylum centres managed by the Commissariat.
Each migrant who passed through the Commissariat’s centres was given accommodation, food, clothes, medical care, as well as a human treatment by the staff. The children placed in the centres also have access to education.
The current occupancy rate at the centres is around 13%.
