The Government of the Republic of Serbia began its session today with a moment of silence for those killed in the fire at the Ivanović nursing home in the Belgrade municipality of Barajevo and decided to declare 22 January as a Day of Mourning throughout the country over the tragedy.

The cabinet adopted a Conclusion on the financing method for the treatment for the treatment of people living with rare diseases in 2025, in order to ensure the continuation or initiation of treatment for these patients, with a focus on maintaining consistent state funding for rare disease treatment, which has been a government priority since 2012.
The funds provided in the amount of RSD 10,200,000,000 will be used for medicines intended for the treatment of patients who are already undergoing therapy, as well as those starting treatment, and for whom the State Expert Commission for Rare Diseases has decided that treatment is necessary and a priority.
