Prime Minister Miloš Vučević announced today that additional available documentation regarding the Novi Sad canopy collapse will be published promptly on the Serbian government’s website.
In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Vučević recalled that approximately 600 links leading to several thousand pages of documentation are available on the website, noting that discussions were held with the President of the Republic of Serbia on the need to publish additional documents after the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Civil Engineering released a statement on the matter.
What is available to the government, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure and railway infrastructure company Infrastruktura Železnice Srbije will be promptly published on the government’s website, he said.
The Prime Minister noted that the prosecutor would not have been able to issue an indictment in the case in record time – less than two months – had they not had access to documentation, he said, noting that nothing had been concealed or destroyed.
Vučević also stated that the Chinese partners will be asked to allow for documents available to them to be published and that he expects support will be provided in that respect as well.
He announced a government session would be held tomorrow, reiterating that there is nothing to hide, as well as that individuals indicted in the case include the former minister of construction, transport and infrastructure and representatives of relevant authorities.
