Minister without portfolio in charge of gender equality, prevention of violence against women and economic and political empowerment of women Tatjana Macura met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Takeshi Iwaya.
The meeting focused on growing economic cooperation, Serbia’s participation in the upcoming conference marking the 25th anniversary of the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 1325, on Women, Peace and Security, as well as Expo 2025 in Osaka.
Macura emphasised that Serbia, by implementing specific measures and policies, is influencing the strengthening of the role of women and mothers in society, adding that the upcoming conference presents an opportunity for the country to share its past experiences, but also to adopt examples of good practice from other countries.
She added that, thanks to successful projects and investments, cooperation with Japan further stimulates economic growth and opens up new opportunities for improving bilateral relations.
