At today’s session, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted a Resolution providing funds in the amount of RSD 12.01 billion for higher education and student standard.
In this way, the budget is increased by 20%, thus fulfilling the fourth request of the student plenums.
The government has adopted the amended Decree on coefficients for the calculation and payment of salaries of employees in public services for performing the work of certain groups of employees in student standard institutions, pre-school Institutions, social welfare institutions, social welfare institutes, as well as in healthcare institutions.
By amending the Decree, the coefficients for the calculation and payment of salaries for these groups of employees are increased, starting from the calculation and payment of salaries for March 2025, or from the calculation and payment of salaries for October 2025.
The cabinet adopted and amended the Decree on an extraordinary intervention measure to support producers of confectionery products for the purchase of powdered milk, in order to prevent or eliminate market disruptions in the milk and dairy products sector. Funds have been provided in the budget for these purposes.
The government also adopted the Decree on the establishment of the annual programme for the development of advisory services in agriculture for 2025, which provides for the provision of advice and information to agricultural producers, associations, cooperatives and other legal entities in agriculture.
Considering the strategic commitment to tourism development, Serbia’s positioning on the international tourism market and the growth of the competitiveness of Serbian tourism products, the members of the government also adopted the Programme for the allocation and use of subsidies and transfers intended for tourism development projects in 2025.
The programme envisages investments in the construction of new and improvement of existing tourist and communal infrastructure in tourist centres, improvement of the quality of facilities and services, new and higher quality tourist offer content in accordance with the requirements of tourist demand.
Members of the government agreed with the Decision on the establishment of cooperation between the City of Belgrade and the City Municipality of Gaziantep, Republic of Turkey.
