Prime Minister Miloš Vučević responded today to a statement by the European Parliament’s rapporteur for Serbia, Tonino Picula.
“Everything we warned would happen is indeed taking place – from attempts to hijack student protests by Đilases, Marinikas, Jovanovićs and various Proglases and Vojvodina autonomists, to being ‘commanded’ by well-known Serb-haters such as the European Parliament’s rapporteur for Serbia, Tonino Picula.
His interference in our country’s internal affairs is scandalous, especially his public call for students to come forward with political demands. I believe that our youth are wise and love their homeland, and that they will reject those who would trample and disintegrate it.
Tonino Picula has said all sorts of things against our country, accused our church of separatism and called it part of some ‘black hand’. The fact that some opposition parties and informal movements agree with him only confirms that they are part of his ‘black hand’.
Serbia is a sovereign and democratic state, and it will never be governed by one Tonino Picula. All those who think well of themselves and their homeland should ignore everything that man says!”, reads the statement from Prime Minister Vučević.
