This enables the implementation of the agreement between the government and the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs with representatives of unions in the field of social protection, which relates to improving the material and labour-legal status of employees in social protection institutions and social protection institutes.
The government also adopted the Bill amending the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance, in order to resolve the issue of widespread abuse of the right to access information, which has led to unnecessary expenditures from the budget and negatively affected the exercise of this right by citizens.
The new legislative proposals primarily regulate the reimbursement of costs in second-instance procedures, with each party to bear its own costs in appeal proceedings, except when the Commissioner determines that the costs of representation are necessary and justified.
Furthermore, the cabinet adopted the Decree on the conditions, manner of allocation and use of incentives for the development and improvement of rural tourism and hospitality in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, in order to improve the quality of services and facilities in these areas and expand the capacity of hospitality facilities for accommodation, especially when it comes to rural tourism households.
The government also adopted the Decree on the allocation and use of funds for subsidising protected natural assets of national interest in 2025, with the right to use subsidies reserved for managers of national parks and protected areas declared by a government act.
A total of RSD 550 million has been provided for these purposes, for a total of 103 protected areas.
The government also adopted a Conclusion on consent to undertake necessary activities to participate in organising the event “Serbian National Interests Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”, the goal of which is to present the truth about the Serbian people and its history, bearing in mind that misrepresentations and historical revisionisms are used to serve political agendas in the international arena.
