Today, in the village of Belanovce near Leskovac, Prime Minister Miloš Vučević visited a boy named Stefan, who lives with his grandfather in inhumane conditions, and whose house will be reconstructed and furnished within a month.
Vučević emphasised that, once again, the people of Serbia have shown unity through care and empathy for those in need, expressing gratitude to everyone who has supported the reconstruction and furnishing of the house.
The Prime Minister also thanked Marko Nikolić, President of the We Can Do It Together humanitarian foundation, for his dedication and relentless efforts to ensure that this family receives the necessary conditions for a normal life, noting that, thanks to these efforts, everything essential has been secured.
Nikolić, whose social media post about Stefan has garnered nearly 13 million views, announced that work on the complete renovation of the house will begin soon, as well as that all furniture will be provided and a bathroom built.
During his visit to Leskovac, the Prime Minister met with the Mayor and his team at the City Hall, emphasising that fewer schools are blocked today than before Sretenje.
He appealed for all schools to resume normal operations, reiterating that schools are not a place for politics.
Vučević expressed hope that everyone will recognise the importance of returning to regular classes, warning that otherwise, children risk losing a school year.
