The government adopted at today’s session the Bill on Information Security, which envisages the improvement of the regulatory framework to monitor contemporary trends and ensure the secure use of ICT systems.
The proposed legislation defines the strengthening of the role of the National CERT in responding to incidents and threats, improves the coordination of line authorities and more precisely regulates matters of international cooperation and information exchange.
The government also adopted the Bill amending to the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism, aligning domestic regulations with European standards in the area, given that Serbia is part of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA).
The Decree amending the Decree on the Norms and Standards for Working Conditions at Universities and Faculties for Activities Financed from the Budget was also adopted at today’s session.
This decree increases the complexity coefficients, i.e. the coefficients for performing the tasks of certain employee groups, particularly teaching staff in higher education, by 15.97% in 2025, as an exceptional measure, to implement the agreement reached by the government, representatives of higher education institutions, social partners and other stakeholders in the field.
The amendment to the existing decree serves as a transitional solution until the adoption of a new act that will establish the norms and standards for the operation of higher education institutions founded by the Republic, and the financial resources for their implementation, as envisaged by the Law on Higher Education.
Furthermore, the adopted Decree amending the Decree on Coefficients for the Calculation and Payment of Salaries of Employees in Public Services increases all other coefficients in vocational and academic higher education by 15.97% in 2025, as an exceptional measure.
