At today’s session, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted decisions on awarding cash prizes to male and female athletes who won medals in Olympic disciplines at the World Boxing Championships and European Athletics and Shooting Championships.

Cash prizes awarded to medal-winning athletes

The Serbian national women’s boxing team won six medals at the Women’s World Boxing Championships, held in Niš – one gold and five bronze.
The prize amounts for medals won are €30,000 for the gold medal and €20,000 per bronze medal in dinar equivalent.
Also, a cash prize in the high jump discipline, in the amount of €15,000 in dinar equivalent, was awarded to Angelina Topić, for her silver medal at the European Athletics Indoor Championships.
Cash prizes were also awarded to athletes Zorana Arunović, Damir Mikec, Aleksandra Havran and Aleksa Rakonjac for the medals won at the European Shooting Championships.
The amounts of the prizes for these medals are €15,000 per silver medal and €10,000 per bronze medal in dinar equivalent.
Prizes in the corresponding amounts were also awarded to their coaches.
