Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc met today with Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary in Belgrade József Magyar to discuss the continuation of the successful cooperation to date and the deepening and improvement of bilateral relations.
Macut emphasised that relations between Serbia and Hungary are at their highest level of development in recent history, owing to mutual understanding, trust and commitment to strengthening the partnership.
The Prime Minister underlined the importance of economic cooperation with Hungary, noting that in recent years, record levels of trade have been achieved, and that the construction of the Hungary-Serbia oil pipeline will ensure greater energy security.
He also expressed gratitude for the strong and ongoing support Hungary provides to Serbia in the process of European integration.
Magyar agreed with the Prime Minister that economic relations between the two countries are at their peak, and expressed confidence that cooperation will be further enhanced in a range of other areas of mutual interest.
