Vucic, who is on a
two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), said that Serbia will produce highly sophisticated missiles for the UAE.
After the tour of the trade show together with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vucic announced the signing of a contract worth over €200 million.
Vucic said that he had agreed with the Sheikh on all agreements of the two countries, especially in relation to investments in the defence industry.
It was agreed that the UAE's company Emirates Advanced Research and Technology Holding (EARTH) and Serbia's Yugoimport SDPR will sign a contract on mutual development and supply of ALAS missile systems.
What is the most important thing is that a major contract will be signed. That would be the most sophisticated and modern weapons that we have ever made, Vucic said, noting that this contract will be worth over €200 million, and that in the first phase, he expects investments of around €24 million in a short period.
Vucic and Sheikh reached full consensus on all agreements of the two countries, especially in relation to investments in the defense industry.
