Born in 1963 in Belgrade. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade, where he also completed a specialisation in internal medicine, a subspecialisation in endocrinology and a doctoral degree. He completed a specialisation in reproductive medicine, organised by the University of Geneva and the World Health Organization. He is a visiting professor at the Athens University School of Medicine and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Skopje.

His primary research focus is metabolic and reproductive endocrinology. He is Head of the Department of Endocrine Tumours and Hereditary Cancer Syndromes at the Clinic for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases of the University Clinical Centre of Serbia.

He completed postgraduate education at Universities in Bologna, Geneva, Uppsala and Oxford. He is the author or co-author of more than 140 original scientific papers published in leading international journals and has served as editor of international monographs in the field of reproductive endocrinology published by the Swiss publishers Karger and Frontiers.

At the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, he has held all academic titles, including that of full professor of internal medicine from 2019, teaching in both Serbian and English.

He has delivered numerous lectures at national scientific and professional conferences, as well as invited lectures at international meetings and congresses in the field of endocrinology, and has organised four international scientific symposia in Belgrade.

He was the initiator and organiser of the Belgrade Masterclass in Clinical Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, a postgraduate programme held annually since 2019.

From 2016, he served as a member of several committees of the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) with headquarters in Bristol and Brussels. From 2016 to 2020, he was a representative of the ESE Council of Affiliated Societies (ECAS) to the ESE Executive Committee, and from 2020 to 2024, he was an elected member of the ESE Executive Committee.

He was a member of the Organising Committee of the European Congress of Endocrinology in Lisbon (2017), Barcelona (2018), Istanbul (2023) and Stockholm (2024).

By decree of the President of the Republic of Serbia in 2024, he was awarded the Order of Karađorđe’s Star, Second Degree.

He speaks English.
