Minister without portfolio in charge of coordinating activities and measures in the field of relations with the diaspora
Born on 29 September 1978 in Valjevo. He has a degree in economics.
Member of the Socialist Party of Serbia since 1996.
From 2002 to 2021, he held the position of President of the City Board of the Socialist Party of Serbia in Valjevo.
Since 2007, he has been a member of the Main Board of the Socialist Party of Serbia and that same year, he was elected as the spokesperson of the Main Board of the Socialist Party of Serbia.
He is Vice President of the Socialist Party of Serbia’s Main Board.
In four mandates (2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016) he was elected councillor of the Valjevo City Assembly.
He also served as Vice President of the Valjevo Municipality Assembly.
He was elected as MP for the first time in June 2008.
In the convocation from 2008 to 2012, he was a member of the Legislative Committee, the Committee for Youth and Sports, the Committee for Justice and Administration, as well as a deputy member of the Committee for European Integration and the Committee for Constitutional Affairs.
In the convocation from 2012 to 2014, he was a member of the Committee for Administrative-Budgetary and Mandate and Immunity Issues, the European Integration Committee, the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee and was a deputy member of the Committee for Constitutional Affairs and Legislation. In the same convocation, he was also a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
In the convocation from 2014 to 2016, he was a member of the Committee for Administrative Budget and Mandate and Immunity Issues and a deputy member of the Committee for Constitutional Affairs and Legislation, the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee, and the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending.
He was also a substitute member of the permanent delegation in the Parliamentary Dimension of the Central European Initiative.
From the 10th to the 12th convocation, he was President of the Socialist Party of Serbia’s caucus. In the 11th convocation, he was Deputy Speaker.
He held the position of Minister without portfolio in charge of coordinating activities and measures in the field of relations between the Republic of Serbia and the diaspora from October 2022 to May 2024.
During that mandate, he was also elected acting Minister of Education on 31 May 2023 and held the office until 25 July 2023.

He has received numerous awards and letters of appreciation for his efforts to strengthen relations between the Republic of Serbia and the diaspora and improve cultural, economic and political ties with Serbian communities around the world.
He is an active athlete and sports worker.
