Minister without portfolio in charge of gender equality, prevention of violence against women and economic and political empowerment of women
Born in 1981, lives in Zemun. She holds an economics degree. She has been in private business in the field of telecommunications since 2007. She is a consultant for domestic and international organisations that deal with the empowerment of female politicians and activists.
She was a member of parliament in the 11th convocation, from 2016 to 2020, and a member of several parliamentary committees – the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality, the Committee on Labour and Social Affairs and the Committee on the Rights of the Child.
She is one of the coordinators of the Women’s Parliamentary Network.
She was elected a member of parliament for the second time in the elections in December 2023, as a non-partisan member on the “Aleksandar Vučić - Serbia must not stand still” ticket.
Macura held the position of Minister without portfolio in charge of gender equality, prevention of violence against women and economic and political empowerment of women from May 2024 to April 2025.
She has been President of the Association “Moms Rule” since 2019. As an advocate of institutional dialogue, she has coordinated activities, the most significant of which are those that led to numerous changes to the Law on Financial Support for Families with Children, the so-called Law on Missing Babies, the Law on Biomedically Assisted Reproduction, the adoption of special by-laws that brought about an improved position of women in Serbia, especially mothers of children with disabilities.
She focuses on topics related to a better position of women and other particularly vulnerable categories of citizens, prevention of peer violence and domestic violence, preventive healthcare and female entrepreneurship.
She is the winner of the Acknowledgment for defending the rights of mothers within the project “Active citizens for a better society: Advocating for cooperation and democratic development” for the year 2021, the Bring The Noize 2021 award of the BeFem organisation for the legal struggle for mother entrepreneurs on behalf of the Initiative “Entrepreneurs Are Also Mothers”, ALPI Women 2022, and she was also on the Blic daily’s list of the most influential women in 2021 and 2024.
