Born in 1969 in Belgrade, where she graduated from the Eighth Belgrade High School. She studied Business Economics and Finance at the Webster University in Geneva and Vienna, graduating as a valedictorian in 1991 with the degree of Bachelor of Arts. Based on the recognition of her degree by the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade in 1996, she was awarded the title of Bachelor of Economics.

From 1993 to 2008, she worked in a family business.

From 2008 to 2012, she served in the Sector for Bilateral Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, and from 2012, at the Ministry of Foreign and Domestic Trade and Telecommunications on bilateral economic cooperation with Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

From June 2013 to April 2014, she was Special Advisor for Foreign Economic Relations to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Domestic Trade and Telecommunications, and from April 2014 to October 2020, she was Special Advisor for Foreign Economic Relations to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.

From October to November 2020, she worked as Head of the Department for Europe and Overseas Developed Countries in the Sector for Bilateral Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications as senior advisor.

In December 2020, she was appointed Acting Assistant Minister for Bilateral Economic Cooperation at the Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Ministry.

From November 2021, she served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sector for Economic Diplomacy as Deputy Assistant Minister for Economic Diplomacy with the title of minister-counsellor, and under the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, she was appointed Acting Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy starting from 11 June 2022. Since 2023, she has held the title of ambassador.

From September 2018 to February 2021, she was Commissioner General of the Republic of Serbia at the Expo 2020 Dubai world exhibition.

She led negotiations on the conclusion of a free trade agreement (FTA) between the Republic of Serbia and Türkiye (revision and expansion of the FTA, 2017), the Eurasian Economic Union (2019) and the United Kingdom (2020/21).

She was co-chair of the Serbia-Türkiye Joint Committee for the Implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries, as well as the Joint Expert Committee for Economic Cooperation with Austria.

She is a regular lecturer at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She speaks English, French and Italian and has an intermediate knowledge of German.

Jagoda Lazarević
