Minister of Culture
Born in 1983 in Užice. He graduated from the Sixth Belgrade Grammar School and finished undergraduate and master studies at the Belgrade Faculty of Law, where he is currently pursuing a PhD. He completed undergraduate studies in defence and security as a member of class eight.
From 2009 to 2012 he was employed at the Belgrade Faculty of Law as an assistant lecturer at the Department of Legal History, where he held lectures in Comparative Legal Tradition, Serbian Legal History and Rhetoric.
Selakovic is a member and founder of the Serbian Progressive Party, in which he served as coordinator of the Legal Council, member of the Presidency (since 2012) and Vice President of the Main Board (2014-2016).
He served as Minister of Justice and State Administration in the government of the Republic of Serbia in the period from 2012 to 2014, and then as Minister of Justice in the period from 2014 to 2016.
By the decision of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic of 31 May 2017, he was appointed to the position of Secretary General of the President of the Republic, which he held until 27 October 2020.
He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia from 2020 to 2022.
From October 2022 to May 2024, he was Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs.
He speaks English, French and Italian.
He is married to Milica and is the father of Lazar, Vasilije and Ljubica.
