Brnabic stated that the factory is important for Nis and the whole of Serbia, and that the construction will be completed in February next year.
She pointed out that the Chinese company "Xingyu" is one of the largest and most successful companies for the production of lights in the automotive industry, for which this is a step forward in Europe.
Chinese companies are increasingly looking at Serbia as the best possible destination for investment in Europe, and then they will continue to export from Serbia to the European market, the Prime Minister said.
According to her, the investment is worth €60 million, and the company will employ approximately 1,000 people in the first phase, from February next year, with exports mainly to countries such as Germany, France and Slovakia.
Brnabic pointed out that this will significantly contribute to the growth of the economy, GDP, as well as the economic picture of Nis.
The Prime Minister especially pointed out that this factory, as in the case of the Science and Technology Park that opened today in Nis, is being built by a domestic company, adding that it also shows how much Serbia is growing, that construction companies have jobs, secured future and security to give their workers good wages.
The same domestic construction company "Konstruktor" is also building a plant of the Chinese "Mint" in Loznica, which recommended Serbia to "Xingyu", she reminded and emphasised that the reference that companies give to each other is better than anything we can do ourselves.
Brnabic also expressed her gratitude to the team of the President of the Republic, which fights for every investment.
The Chinese investor has committed to invest €7.5 million for land, €32.7 million for the construction of facilities and €19.6 million for new equipment by the end of 2023.
In Nis, the Chinese company "Xingyu" will make ice headlights for cars, which are part of advanced technology.
