The interlocutors expressed their belief that the upcoming visit of President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the planned signing of a series of interstate agreements will give an additional impetus to the development of overall bilateral relations.
The ministers expressed particular satisfaction with the increasingly intensive economic cooperation between Serbia and Turkey, noting that this year saw a significant increase in trade exchange.
Selakovic informed Cavusoglu about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, adding that Serbia counts on further support from Turkey in connection with the continuation of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, which would lead to a compromise and a mutually acceptable solution, and contribute to the preservation of regional peace and stability.
Other regional topics and the current geopolitical situation were also touched on during the meeting.
