The announcement emphasises that this session represents a key moment in establishing scientific ties between the two countries.
The Serbian delegation at the meeting was led by Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Beogovic, while the Chinese delegation was led by Minister of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China Wang Zhigang.
We opened many issues related to scientific and technological cooperation and the development of an innovative ecosystem in many areas, such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, but also the use of satellite data in various areas, including agriculture, the Minister emphasised.
The most significant outcome of this meeting is that a decision was made to publish calls for joint research and development projects, which will further strengthen the cooperation between the two countries during the next three years.
In the field of artificial intelligence and biotechnology, both sides expressed their intention to expand cooperation, and agreement was reached on the idea of using scientific progress in the fight against poverty.
The organisation of the International Technical and Technology Fair in Belgrade in 2024 will also be considered.
The Committee expressed its intention to improve bilateral cooperation in science and innovation, including joint seminars and projects.
The next session of the Committee will be held in Serbia in 2025, thus continuing the successful tradition of organizing these meetings alternately in both countries, according to the announcement.
