In the latest barometer of the World Tourism Organisation (UN Tourism), it is stated that several destinations around the world have achieved excellent results in terms of tourism revenues this year, among which Serbia is in the first place and the only one that has reached a three-digit growth rate of revenues from foreign tourists.
Foreign currency inflow from tourism in the first quarter of this year stands at €575 million, which is 127 percent more than in the period January - March 2019, when income from foreign guests amounted to €252 million.
In the first four months of this year, Serbia continues to record growth in tourist traffic, as foreign guests increased arrivals by 10 percent and overnight stays by five percent, which, together with projections on the occupancy of accommodation capacities in the rest of the year, indicates that 2024 will be a record year for tourism in Serbia.
