Unequivocal evidence of this exists in video footage, showing the painful scenes where Kurti's police officers force Serbian young men to the ground, beating and dragging them for ten minutes.
The fact that even the Serb who filmed the torture was taken into custody, in an attempt to remove the traces and evidence of police brutality – which fortunately remain preserved – speaks of the kind of reign of terror, lawlessness, mistreatment and violation of rights.
Of particular concern are the facts that the parents were not allowed to see their children, while the Serbian medical team was not allowed to visit and examine them, given that the young men were victims of proven police brutality.
According to eyewitnesses, Kurti's enforcers were in civilian clothes and did not show identification, which is further proof that he seeks to turn the north of Kosovo and Metohija into a police-occupied territory.
Belgrade and Serbs from the north of Kosovo and Metohija warn about this every day, while the international community is keeping silent as the Serbian youth are beaten and detained, thus intimidating and disturbing all Serbs in these areas, the statement added.
