Priština resorting to unilateral moves, violating all agreements

Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petković informed EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Priština Dialogue Peter Sørensen today about a series of unilateral and escalating moves by the Priština regime, aimed at causing tensions and undermining the dialogue, including the recent closure of several Serbian institutions in Leposavić and Štrpce, which were providing assistance to more than 11,000 beneficiaries.

He also pointed to a series of unfounded and politically motivated arrests of Serbs that the Priština regime, led by Albin Kurti, is carrying out with the aim of further persecuting the Serbian people.

For more than 12 years now, Priština has failed to form the Community of Serb Municipalities, as stipulated by the Brussels Agreement, the implementation of which was also guaranteed by the European Union. Many of the problems we have on the ground today and Serbs are facing would not have existed if the Community of Serb Municipalities had been formed, which, among other things, should also be a framework for the preservation and protection of individual and collective rights of Serbs, Petković emphasised.

According to him, Belgrade is a constructive party in the dialogue and through talks it has always produced proposals aimed at addressing problems, not generating them, but instead Priština resorts to unilateral moves and violations of all agreements and treaties, in order to create new political tensions on the ground and avoid its obligations.
