Petković at UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petković will participate on 25 February in the high-level segment of the 58^th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, which is being held in Geneva, during which he will have several important meetings on the topic of the endangered human rights of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija.

Petković will have a special bilateral meeting with United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk.

The session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, along with the session of the UN General Assembly, is certainly one of the most important multilateral events in the world and is held with the presence of a large number of representatives of UN member states.

Organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the UN in Geneva, a special event entitled “Serious Violations of Human Rights of Serbs and Other Non-Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija” will be held on the sidelines of the session, at which Petković, together with his associates, will inform representatives of UN member states about the violations of human rights of our people in the southern province.

This important event will also be attended by the Vice President of the Serb List and Mayor of Štrpce Dalibor Jevtić and Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija who were victims of terror by the regime in Priština, who will have a special focus on the impossible living conditions of our people in Kosovo and Metohija, according to a statement from the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
