Jovanović added that the portal’s establishment has significantly simplified and accelerated the process for foreign citizens who wish to reside and work in Serbia.
If an application is submitted independently by a foreign citizen, it is necessary for them to have an account on the Portal for Electronic Identification and if an application is submitted by an employer, it is necessary for them to open an account on the eGovernment Portal as a legal entity, and for the legal representative to have a registered account.
All that is required is for the legal representative of the legal entity to register on the eGovernment Portal and authorise a person to submit an application for the Single Permit on behalf of that legal entity, by assigning the role “Work with Foreigners”.
Also, within the Portal for Foreigners, it is possible to apply for a C visa, which is a visa for a stay of up to 90 days issued for tourism, business and other travel purposes, as well as for single, double or multiple entries into the Republic of Serbia.
It is also possible to apply for a D visa, which is a visa for a stay ranging from 90 to 180 days, issued on the basis of employment, education, family reunification and the like.
