The Ministry of Finance announced that the Contract Agreement for the design and construction of the Makis depot was signed today in the Palace of Serbia, which is of great importance for the further implementation of the Belgrade metro construction project, with a total value of €200 million.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali, explained that it is a contract for the design and construction of the depot, the place from which the entire metro system will be managed.
Mali said that the design and construction of the track undercarriage in the depot for a total track length of approximately ten kilometers, the design and construction of manipulative surfaces and internal traffic roads with a total length of approximately 4.7 km, with the associated infrastructure, and the external arrangement of the depot with a total area of approximately 34 hectares and all connections to the city infrastructure network is being planned.
He pointed out that the works on Makisko polje, from where the first metro line will run, are going smoothly, reminding that they started in November 2021.
