TENNIS: Novak Djokovic surpassed Rafael Nadal's record of 22 Grand Slam men's singles titles at Roland Garros and then won a record-extending 24th Grand Slam title at the US Open. Serbia's tennis player now has the most Grand Slam titles for any player, man or woman, in the Open Era. He is the first man in tennis history to win three majors in a year in four different years - 2011, 2015, 2021 and 2023. In 2023, Djokovic won the Australian Open, Roland Garros and US Open titles and lost to Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final. Djokovic also won his record-breaking seventh ATP Finals title, in Turin, Italy.
Hamad Medjedovic (20) upset top-seeded Arthur Fils (France) to win the Next Gen ATP Finals in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Next Generation ATP Finals (known as the Next Gen ATP Finals) is an annual men's professional exhibition tennis tournament organized by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for the best 21-and-under players of the season.

ATHLETICS: Ivana Vuleta produced the best outdoor performance of her career to win the long jump with 7.14m and give Serbia its first gold medal in the history of the World Outdoor Athletics Championships. In 2023, Vuleta also won the Diamond League and bronze medal at the European Indoor Championships. Elzan Bibic earned the bronze medal in the men's 3000m event at the 2023 European Indoor Athletics Championships. The European Athletics Association declared high jumper Angelina Topic, U20 European champion and national record holder, as the "2023 Women's Rising Star".
PARA ATHLETICS: Five medals at the World Championships - one gold, two silver, two bronze.
VOLLEYBALL: Serbia's national team took the silver medal at the European Women's Volleyball Championships and qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
BASKETBALL: Men's team captured the silver medal at the Basketball World Cup and reached the Paris Olympics. Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic has been named NBA Finals MVP after averaging 30 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists per game during the Finals series in which the Nuggets beat Miami Heat.
3x3 BASKETBALL: Serbia won the fifth-straight 3x3 Europe Cup title and became winner of the World Cup for the sixth time.
FOOTBALL: Men's national football team booked their place in the 2024 EURO finals.
SHOOTING: Total of 13 medals (six gold, six silver and one bronze) at the European Championships, World Championships and World Cups.
PARA SHOOTING: Silver medal at the World Championships.
WRESTLING: Four medals (one silver and three bronze) at the European Championships and five medals (one gold and four bronze) at the World Championships.
KARATE: Bronze medal at the World Championships.
