Prime Minister Miloš Vučević met with President of the Republic of Hungary Tamás Sulyok today to discuss the advancement of bilateral and friendly relations between the two countries and the potential for further strengthening cooperation.
Vučević emphasised that the overall relations between Serbia and Hungary have reached a historically high level in the past 10 years.
The Prime Minister pointed out that cooperation with Hungary is developing, that record trade in goods has been achieved in recent years and that Hungary is Serbia’s fourth-largest trade partner, with numerous joint projects.
He noted that the Balkans and Central Europe, but also the entire continent, benefit from the two countries’ strategic partnership, given that the Serbian-Hungarian friendship contributes to security, stability, understanding and cooperation across Europe.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Hungary’s strong and continued support in the process of European integration and perseverance in the position on the necessity of the European Union’s enlargement.
Sulyok confirmed that Serbia can count on Hungary’s robust international support on issues of vital interests for Serbia.
