Prime Minister Ana Brnabic presented today, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Serbia, the Gold Medal of Merit to Susana Ruiz Cerutti, former Argentine foreign minister.

During her diplomatic career, Cerutti led the Argentine delegation during a public hearing before the International Court of Justice in The Hague on the issue of the Republic of Serbia, whether Kosovo's independence was declared unilaterally in accordance with international law.
The Prime Minister expressed her gratitude to Susana Ruiz Cerutti for her outstanding contribution in defense of the principles of international law and the territorial integrity of Serbia, thus strengthening the longstanding friendship of our countries and peoples.
Brnabic will represent the Republic of Serbia at the swearing-in ceremony and the transfer of power to newly-elected Argentine President Alberto Fernandez, who will be attended by many Latin American and international leaders.
