The Serbian government made at a session today a decision to pay €100,000 in dinar counter value to the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), as a leader in the field of vaccination against COVID-19.
The government has decided to participate with its European partners in this project and give contribution to global efforts in the fight against the pandemic through financial support to the World Health Organization for strengthening the response of health systems to COVID-19 and to the CEPI, which was founded after the epidemic of ebola in West Africa, in order to create an opportunity to develop vaccines against new diseases.
The government today prescribed special measures of protection of population against infectious disease COVID-19 in the local self-governments where an emergency situation has been declared due to the epidemic.
The measures introduced are the prohibition of gatherings of more than five people in closed and open spaces if it is not possible to secure a physical distance of two metres and appropriate personal protection measures. The organisation of festivities and sporting and entertainment events will also not be possible.
The working hours of bars and restaurants is limited to the period from 7 am to 8 pm. When it comes to pre-school and education institutions, a full application of all preventive measures is necessary. Gatherings in education institutions will be postponed, and the entrance exam and other exams will be carried out with the application of all personal protection measures (a two-metre physical distance, obligatory use of masks and gloves).
The use of outdoor and indoor swimming pools, spa and wellness centres is not possible for now, but hair and beauty salons, fitness centres and gyms will continue to operate with the implementation of protective measures (masks and gloves).
The government made a decision to set aside RSD 200 million for the citizens whose houses were damaged by floods in June this year.
