Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić today officially bid farewell to President of the State of Israel Isaac Herzog at the Nikola Tesla Airport, marking the conclusion of Herzog’s visit to Serbia.
Đurić expressed his gratitude to Herzog for his visit to Belgrade, stressing that high-level meetings provide an additional impetus for improving relations between the two countries.
The Serbian and Jewish peoples have a centuries-old friendship, and today the importance of relations with the State of Israel far exceeds the framework of the Middle East or merely the two countries’ bilateral relations, the Minister emphasised.
The head of Serbian diplomacy conveyed his appreciation to President Herzog for his support for the Expo 2027 specialized exhibition, to be hosted by Serbia, and expressed satisfaction with the potential for cooperation identified during the visit.
