Prime Minister Miloš Vučević and Minister of Public Investment Darko Glišić today visited the reconstructed satellite school in Popović near Rača, in which the government invested RSD 56 million.
The building of the satellite department of the Rača Elementary School "Karađorđe" in Popović was neglected and the school did not work for 15 years, because there were not enough children to organise classes. Given that the number of children has increased in the meantime, the Ministry of Public Investment in February helped with the renovation and extension of the old building, as well as the construction of a sports field.
For us, Serbia is every place, every corner and there are no big or small investments, big or small places. There is only love for the motherland and responsibility for the people and citizens of our country, Vučević said.
Glišić said that he is extremely proud that the students returned to this school after 15 years and that they will no longer travel several kilometres to the central school in Rača.
He stated that the once dilapidated facility is now standardised and does not stand out from other new school facilities across the country, while the newly built sports field will be used by all residents of this and surrounding villages for socialising and gatherings.
