With the adoption of this spatial plan, conditions are in place for the development of traffic at speeds of up to 200 kph on these sections and for raising the quality of the E-70 and E-85 railway infrastructure along Corridor 10, i.e., the reconstruction and modernisation of the existing railway on the Velika Plana-Niš section.
In accordance with the strategic determinations of the Republic of Serbia, in further research and through the preparation of appropriate documentation, it is possible to form a railway corridor Belgrade-Mladenovac-Niš-border with the Republic of North Macedonia for speeds of up to 200 kph, which will be part of the Silk Road railway corridor in the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
The government adopted a new three-year National Programme for the Adoption of the Acquis of the European Union (NPAA) for the period from the third quarter of 2024 to the fourth quarter of 2027.
The national programme contains plans for the harmonisation of legislation with the acquis and the establishment of appropriate institutional and administrative capacities for the implementation of harmonised legislation.
The new programme’s implementation period is adapted to reform processes planned under the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans and the Reform Agenda of the Republic of Serbia, in addition to other documents.
The implementation of the NPAA is one of the important elements for monitoring Serbia’s progress in the process of joining the European Union, with the Ministry of European Integration responsible for preparing regular quarterly reports on the implementation of the programme, which it submits to the government for consideration and decision-making and to the National Assembly of Serbia for information purposes.
