Prime Minister Miloš Vučević stated today, regarding the accident at the railway station in Novi Sad, that this is one of the most difficult days in the post-war history of the city and a tragedy for all of Serbia.
On his own behalf and on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Vučević expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
He conveyed his gratitude to everyone involved in the rescue efforts for those trapped under the debris.
The Prime Minister noted that, despite the fact that the outdoor roof that collapsed was built 60 years ago, he will insist on identifying those responsible for the accident, and those who, as he emphasised, were tasked with maintaining the building’s condition.
