Serbian basketball player Nikola Jokić has been voted best European basketball player in 2024 by fans, the World Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced today.

Serbian basketball player Nikola Jokić has been voted best European basketball player in 2024 by fans, the World Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced today.
Voting on the FIBA website began on December 27 last year, and the final results were announced today.
As FIBA announced, Jokić won the award for best European basketball player by a landslide with 32% of the votes.
Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo received 18% of the votes, Bogdan Bogdanović 15%, German Franz Wagner received 11% and Slovenian Luka Dončić 9%.
Also competing for the best basketball player in Europe as voted by fans on the FIBA website were Victor Wembanyama (France), Lauri Markkanen (Finland), Kristaps Porzingis (Latvia), Domantas Sabonis (Lithuania), Dennis Schröder (Germany) and Alperen Şengün (Turkey).
