The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a recommendation today for all Serbian citizens not to travel to the parts of Italy affected by coronavirus until further notice, i.e. until the current health situation has been brought back to normal.
On the basis of official reports on the current health situation in Italy, after the number of people infected by coronavirus (COVID-19) had increased, the Italian government passed a regulation introducing a series of urgent and mandatory preventive measures to isolate the area which is believed to be the focus of the virus.
For now the isolated area includes the region of northern Italy (Veneto and Lombardy), but the autonomous region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia also declared a state of emergency on 22 February.
Bearing in mind that the information on the epidemiological situation in Italy is changing and updating every hour and that new measures are being introduced, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will keep the citizens updated on the current health situation in Italy.
