New, unexplored areas for improvement of scientific, technological ties between Serbia, China

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic participated today, via a video link, in the Pujiang Innovation Forum, which is being held in Shanghai, organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and the government of Shanghai.

The Pujiang Innovation Forum is one of the most important gatherings of global achievements in the field of innovation and technological development, and at the opening ceremony, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic and Premier of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang addressed in video messages.

Our country's participation in this forum is a unique opportunity to present our partners from China, as well as the whole world, Serbia as one of the most promising investment destinations in this part of Europe, where, in addition to excellent conditions for industrial development, there is a great potential for business cooperation, research etc.

In her presentation, Brnabic especially emphasised the relationship between Serbia and the People's Republic of China in scientific and technological innovations, which reflects equality and mutual benefit, emphasising that the People's Republic of China is our comprehensive strategic partner and that our country wants to develop even wider cooperation in order to take advantage of the future opportunities of digitalisation, improve connectivity and perfect its digital transformation.

Scientific-technological and innovation exchange between Serbia and China shows how countries of different sizes and economic strengths can perfectly cooperate in a mutually beneficial way, while supporting global digital integration and encouraging cross-border cooperation. Our cooperation does not end here. There are many new and unexplored areas for further improvement of our scientific and technological ties, and I am sure that the Pujiang Innovation Forum will create numerous such opportunities, as well as encourage numerous business and human contacts, the Prime Minister said.

In his address, Li Keqiang pointed out that scientific and technological innovations are an inexhaustible driving force for further development and progress of society.
