Selakovic emphasised that the leaders of the two countries are determined to work on the improvement of excellent bilateral and economic relations, which is confirmed by today's meeting.
We also talked about the situation in the world and the region, cooperation in the region that Turkey recognises in the Open Balkans initiative. The situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina was also discussed, and we confirmed our consistent position on respecting the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also respecting the Dayton Agreement, he said.
The head of Serbian diplomacy also stated that the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina was also discussed at the meeting, and he expressed gratitude for the support that Turkey gives to the continuation of the dialogue.
Speaking about bilateral economic relations, he pointed out that the total annual trade exchange has exceeded the level of two billion euros.
According to him, Turkish investors have not reduced their interest in investing in Serbia, with total trade growing by 31.2 percent in 2021.
Çavuşoğlu said that Turkey is determined to maintain the best relations with Serbia, and in that sense he expressed gratitude for the opening of the consular department of this country in Nis.
He assessed that the economic relations between the two countries are on the rise, expressing satisfaction with the increase in the number of tourists from both sides.
