Minister without portfolio in charge of relations with the diaspora Đorđe Milićević today signed 104 contracts on the allocation of funds from the Programme of Financial Support to Associations of the Diaspora, Regions and the Motherland in 2024, for which a total of RSD 79 million has been set aside.

The minister pointed out that an important segment in strengthening existing and creating new ties is the work and support of non-governmental organisations, associations and all those who implement projects and programmes for the preservation of the Serbian language, alphabet and culture.
According to him, 311 associations participated in the public competition, and 104 of them met the requirements.
With this programme, we included several segments, four of which are very important - support for cultural and artistic societies, economic cooperation, promotion of the Serbian language and strengthening the capacity of supplementary schools for the Serbian language, as well as support for the promotion of sports among young people, the Minister said.
Milićević said that language, culture, history, identity and tradition are symbols, and that Serbs in the diaspora expect us to support them.
