Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begovic today presented the new StarTech programme, under which innovators in Serbia have the opportunity to apply and receive up to $50,000 in grants.
The competition is part of a wider project of the Phillips Morris company, worth a total of €8 million and implemented by NALED, with the support of the government, with the aim of accelerating economic growth and transforming our economy into a digital, export-oriented one based on knowledge and innovation.
Speaking at a press conference, Begovic said that it is very important that StarTech's focus is on connecting faculties, scientific research organisations and the economy with the aim of facilitating the development of innovative products and services.
Together with our partners from Philip Morris and NALED, we are building a new innovation ecosystem with the desire to provide support to innovators, in order to achieve stronger economic development, but also the development of society as a whole, said the Minister.
