Speaking at a joint press conference with the Turkish President at the Palace of Serbia, Vucic said that trade exchange between the two countries has been raised to €2.5 billion.
We are on a good path to fulfil what has seemed unachievable to me and what you have set as a goal and that is for trade exchange to reach €5 billion, Vucic told Erdoğan.
The President of Serbia added that Turkish companies in Serbia employ almost 10,000 workers and added that today they also discussed military cooperation and cooperation of the military industries of the two countries and voiced hope that next year Serbia will be able to purchase Turkish Bayraktar aerial vehicle.
Vucic noted that he and Erdoğan also talked about the situation in Ukraine, peace and stability in the region and the situation in the energy sector.
The Turkish President stated that relations between Serbia and Turkey develop every day and added that they will be additionally improved by the protocol on entry into both countries with IDs only.
Erdoğan said that he exchanged views with the Serbian President on Bosnia and Herzegovina, regional and international issues, as well as bilateral issues, and underlined that the talks were very fruitful.
We have confirmed once more the importance we attach to peace and development in the Balkans, Erdoğan stated and pointed to the importance of the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina on IDs and voiced hope that an agreement on license plates and other outstanding issues will be reached soon.
