At the joint news conference with Fico, Vučić said that they discussed all strategic issues and concrete steps to improve relations between the two countries, as well as the geopolitical situation of Serbia and Slovakia.
He stated that the experiences of Slovakia in various areas are valuable for Serbia, reminding that we have adopted the practice of using vouchers for domestic tourists from that country, and announced that he will soon, with the new ideas he received from Prime Minister Fico present them to the citizens of Serbia.
When it comes to the geopolitical situation, Vučić stated that during the conversation it was jointly stated that peace in Ukraine is also necessary for Russia, considering that part of the war conflict is also taking place in the territory of that country.
According to him, Serbia will continue to conduct its policy on this issue in the way that the National Security Council of our country determined two and a half years ago.
Vučić said that Serbia and Slovakia will together defend all the achievements of the fight against fascism and Nazism and emphasised that the two countries will not allow history to be revised and that they will always respect all those who were on the side that fought against fascism and Nazism and participated in the liberation of Europe.
The Prime Minister of Slovakia said that that country wants, within the KFOR Mission, to return its army to Kosovo and Metohija, in order to help the world get an objective picture of the events in the southern Serbian province.
He said that Slovakia too is making available to Serbia its knowledge and experience in the field of nuclear energy production, noting that the subject of the discussion was also the field of water management, as well as further economic cooperation.
Fico also pointed to the great interest of Slovak companies in the Serbian market, especially in the production of electric batteries, and expressed the hope that the two countries will soon establish a direct flight.
