At the conference "Digitalisation as a way out of the grey economy" held in the Palace of Serbia, Mali said that the government is firmly determined to continue the fight to reduce the grey area of business.
At today's meeting, a POS support programme for small businesses and institutions was officially launched, within which the introduction of card and instant payments at 25,000 points of sale and counters in Serbia will be ensured.
Vice-Governor of the National Bank of Serbia Dragana Stanic pointed out that our country now belongs to the top of the world in terms of digitalisation of payment services and innovative services, and that such activities directly contribute to the suppression of the grey economy.
The project to launch the POS support programme for 25,000 small businesses and institutions was also supported by the German Organisation for International Cooperation (GIZ).
German Ambassador to Serbia Anke Konrad said that Germany supports Serbia in the fight against corruption and the grey economy.
With our involvement, we want to develop the acceptance of cashless payments and infrastructure, in order to further promote fairer competition on the Serbian market, encourage economic development and improve the quality of commercial and private services, she stated.
