Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Milos Vucevic attended today the international tactical training exercise “Platinum Wolf 23” at the “Jug” base near Bujanovac.
At the exercise, which was attended by Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilovic, and US Ambassador to Serbia Christopher Hill, approximately 600 officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the armed forces of the United States of America, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia participated.
After the end of the exercise, Vucevic congratulated all participants on the successful implementation, noting that the Serbian Army is organising the largest international military exercise in the territory of our country for the eighth time under the name “Platinum Wolf”.
He said that by preparing this exercise, the Serbian Army is increasing its interoperability, ability, equipment and training to be able to participate in multinational peacekeeping operations and missions, which is the basic purpose of the “Jug” base.
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that through this international military exercise we are strengthening our partnership relations, not disputing each other's membership of certain military alliances or decisions to be militarily neutral states.
The international exercise “Platinum Wolf” in Serbia has been organised since 2014, and its importance is reflected in raising the capacity for planning, organizing and conducting international exercises, as well as the ability of units of the Serbian Armed Forces to engage in multinational operations.
