Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić stated that members of the Criminal Police Directorate and the Anti-Crime Service, on the orders of the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, found and arrested the individual who attacked Minister Nikola Selaković.

Dačić stated that М. Т. (1985) from Belgrade was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal act of endangering safety and added that the wardrobe he was wearing during the attack was found in his apartment, which is located near the place where Minister Selaković was attacked last night.
The suspect will be detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought before the competent prosecutor's office with a criminal complaint.
