First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali attended today at Banka Poštanska Štedionica the signing of the first four agreements on subsidised, low-cost loans for young people aged 20 to 35, which have so far drawn 1,790 interested applicants.

Mali encouraged young people to take advantage of the subsidised state loans to resolve their housing needs, emphasising that no other country in Europe has such a programme, which demonstrates both the strength of Serbia’s finances and its commitment to supporting young people.
The loans are available to young people across Serbia, covering different employment statuses, Mali pointed out, noting that even unemployed individuals can apply with a guarantor.
Approximately 150 employees in the bank’s 236 branches are working on the loan project, Banka Poštanska Štedionica Executive Board Chairman Bojan Kekić said, praising their efficiency.
The programme is available to Serbian citizens residing in Serbia, aged between 20 and 35 at the time of application, with a 1% down payment.
The maximum loan amount is €100,000, with no restrictions regarding the price of the property or the price per square metre depending on the city.
