Vulin expressed gratitude to Shoigu for the support of the Russian Federation to the legal and legitimate authorities of the Republic of Serbia in restoring order and stability in the country.
During the meeting, it was noted that the recent conversation between President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin gave a new impetus to the further strengthening of relations and cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister informed Shoigu that Serbia had corrected the mistake it made when voting on the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, and that it had changed its vote to abstaining.
He reiterated the request made by Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević to the Russian side for specialists from that country to participate in the investigation into the alleged use of a sound cannon during the 15 March protests.
The officials reached an agreement on the continuation of close cooperation in the field of security between the two states.
