South Korean SK Group interested in investing in Serbia

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today in Seoul, after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the representatives of the South Korean conglomerate SK Group, that Serbia is ready to bring technologically advanced, capital-intensive investments and that its chance lies in the fact that the conglomerate does not have a biotechnology centre in Europe.

Brnabic assessed that the signing of the aforementioned memorandum is very good news, and pointed out that our country has very good references and is ready for capital-intensive investments.

We have signed the Memorandum of Understanding, I hope that we will not miss that opportunity and that we will be the European biotechnology centre for South Korea. When the second largest Korean conglomerate comes to you, then it is easy to bring in everyone else. That is our immediate goal, explained the Prime Minister.

This document refers to a possible investment by part of the conglomerate that deals with biotechnologies in Serbia, she stated.

Brnabic noted that she does not want to raise expectations, but also expressed the hope that we will reach a final contract by the end of this year.

There are many political and economic parallels between the Republic of Korea and Serbia, which is why the Serbian side will try to learn a lot more, and knowledge is best acquired when partners are present in your country, concluded the Prime Minister.
