First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with the Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Yasushi Hosaka.
Dacic emphasised that Serbia is proud of the fact that an increasing number of prestigious Japanese companies regard it as a desirable destination for important investments, which contribute to increasing environmental standards and further strengthen the ties between our two countries.
The interlocutors assessed that the relations between Serbia and Japan, which are more than 140 years long, are constantly on the rise, and readiness for further strengthening of political dialogue and exchange of visits at all levels with the aim of deepening cooperation in all areas of mutual interest was confirmed.
Hosaka extended congratulations to Serbia on being chosen as the host of the EXPO 2027 World Exhibition, expressing the expectation that our country will present itself to the world public in the best possible way at EXPO 2025 in Osaka, especially in light of Belgrade’s preparations to host this prestigious event in 2027, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
