Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petković said today in Brussels, after a tripartite meeting of the delegations of Belgrade, Priština and the EU, that the representatives of Priština rejected six constructive proposals from the Serbian side on the use of the dinar in Kosovo and Metohija.

Addressing the journalists, Petković said that Belgrade will not give up or be the side that closes the door to talks, and that it will fight for each of our people and institutions, because we must ensure a safe future for the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
He reported that the delegation from Priština found the three issues that EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Priština Dialogue Miroslav Lajčak considered as crucial for the harmonisation of the two sides to be trivial.
Petković also mentioned that the topic of the dialogue was the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities, which forms the framework for the survival of the Serbian people, and the fact that Priština maintains an embargo on Serbian goods, by which it violates the most fundamental values.
